Povodom Svetskog dana prava potrošača koji se obeležava 15. marta, Centar potrošača Srbije (CEPS) želi još jednom da ukaže na važnost opstanka SAVETOVALIŠTA ZA POTROŠAČE kao najdostupnijeg i najefikasnijeg mehanizma zaštite potrošača u Srbiji.

Improving the ambience for consumer protection in southern Serbia

Consumer Center of Serbia (CEPS) in partnership with Western Balcan Socio-Economic Center (WB-SEC)  is establishind tree new consumer organizations in city of Aleksinac, Prijepolje and Knjazevac within the project „Improving the ambience for consumer protection in southern Serbia“ , financed by Fund for an Open Society in Serbia.

CEPS is managed by the Assembly as the highest authority. Mandate of members of the Assembly period is four (4) years.

• Lobbying for the implementation and promotion of implementation of the Law on Consumer Protection in Republic of Serbia, as well as other documents issued under that Act;

CEPS vision is to bring together and connect as many independent consumer organizations and individuals in Serbia for joint action in the field of consumer protection, in accordance with applicable laws, as well as European and international standards, to promote the rights and interests of consumers in the public and contributes to strengthening the position of consumers.

At the initiative of the Centre for Education and Consumer Protection Belgrade, together with the Centre for Education and Consumer Protection Alibunar and the Center for Consumers Protection Inđija, 16.10.2008. in Belgrade was held the Constituent Assembly which decided to establish of consumer associations under the name Consumer Center of Serbia - CEPS.
